I have to say that thanks to publicity like yours and Marc's, when we got a labrador this summer I was very careful about puppy farms.
After a lot of research, I bought a lovely pup from a lady who worked in an RSPCA rescue centre. I went to her house to see the pups and met their Mum, Dad and Aunty, all of whom were obviously loved and well-socialised dogs.
When looking for our dog, I also looked around rescue centres and even met a few ex-breeding dogs. Poor creatures; they were heartbreaking, so thank you for raising awareness of this problem.

Really great post - can't really add more than to emphasise the importance of stamping out these horrible puppy farms...
