OK, so up until now I have NEVER been interested by nail decals despite being a nail-nut polish-wise - those Geisha's are simply beautiful, and £1.99!?!?! Thanks for sharing :-)

This is AMAZING! I have to have these in my life! Actually, a while back you showed off some Chanel nail decals... any idea where I can find those?

I love the idea of these, if you're going to go statement nails, might as well go for a full on statement. Just read your section in Marie Claire by the way, congrats! xXx

Technically, these are not Geisha as they don't wear kimono. They are chinese fairy who live in the heavan as indicated by the special peaches they carry. Still pretty!

paisleyprints said...

hi, those are not geishas.
They are chinese ink paintings of
what seems to be peach fairies, who take care of the Jade Emperor's peaches of immortality. This is imagery from chinese mythology, not japan! nice nails though

Later, after fairies who come to collect peaches for the heavenly peach banquet inform Sun Wukong he is not invited and make fun of him, he starts causing trouble in Heaven and defeats an army of 100,000 celestial troops, led by the Four Heavenly Kings, Erlang Shen, and Nezha

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_to_the_West this is the closest reference i can find for you in English, information on this is mostly in chinese

Geishas, fairies, who cares! These are the prettiest things I've ever seen for DIY nail art.

Those are lovely but my nails are too short to do them justice. I have my eye on some of the floral offerings though as they will work better on me.
