While this product might do a lovely job at making your hair look nice, I get a feeling it's just full of silicones to create that healthy hair illusion!! It does seem too good to be true...

And slightly off topic, why are Avon always so far behind every other brand? They only recently brought out crackle mail polish... Seriously?!

When my partner and I were in Morocco it was fairly cheap to get pure Argan Oil but not THAT cheap! I reckon there is probably next to none in this product. I hate it when companies dupe consumers into buying things with misleading names and cheap prices.

Thank you for pointing this out! I will know not to bother with this!!

Keep writing the honest and brilliant reviews - you've saved me so much money so far you should be rewarded with a banker's bonus (you've earned it!)!!

£5.50 is extremely cheap and considering that cosmetics brand try to make their profit margins as high as possible, they found that argan oil for a lot cheaper or there's barely any of it in the product.

It'll be full of silicones with next to no oil in it. I hate that there isn't an ingredient list.x

I rely on Argan oil to keep my dry frizzy hair looking somewhat 'normal' so am always on the look out for products. I'll definitely be giving this one a miss though, as you pointed out, Argan oil is not cheap, anywhere, and so this product cannot possible have any amount worth having as one of its ingredients ('responsibly sourced' - what the hell does this actually mean??? or otherwise). Avon should be ashamed of themselves.

The West consumes vast quantities of coffee and chocolate but farmers in South America and Africa aren't rich either. Also, isn't Argan Oil from an endagered tree? Should we be using this stuff at all?

I was quite intrigued when you brought this to my attention as I use the V05 'argan oil' treatment which costs less than a fiver. After reading this I grabbed it to check the ingedients listings. Its says it includes 'argania spinosa kernal oil' if that means anything to anyone? Yet again it does not say how much or where it was sourced etc. It makes me wonder whether brands are allowed to make such claims?

I don't know if you still have the box but the ingredients are listed underneath if you're interested (if not, I can send a photo?). Out of about 30 ingredients, Argana Spinosa Oil is listed about 10th if that means anything?

Jane, do you know anyone at Avon, or is it possible to contact someone with them, who might care to respond to this?

Hi there Ohjoiedevivre, I did contact them but they declined to reveal percentage of argan in product and would only say that their oil was responsibly sourced.

I'm in the u.s. and the Argan oil doesnt come out until late September. I WAS excited to buy it...thank you for the revelation. What Avon products do you recommend ?

I would 100% recommend this product! Along with the shampoo and conditioner! My hair is usually hard to manage, frizzy and I cannot style it!! Using this product my hair feels silky smooth, soft, I can style it works great with ghd straighteners!!! I was somewhat sceptical as too how much oil was in the product. For £5.50 what do you expect?! This product is my new 'beauty must have' and it smells great!!!!
