Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Same as it wouldn't bother me to have a male masseur, or gynaecologist. The way I see it, they are professionals doing a job. I'm aware I'm probably in a minority though!
We don't ask our female waxers if they're gay and therefore in it for the "voyeurism"...and waxing isn't something like gynecology where preferring a doctor who is personally invested in the subject because as a woman she has to deal with them too. Waxing hurts whether you're a man or a woman!
That issue notwithstanding, in my experience bikini waxing is kind of one of those things where it's so embarrassing that it just rounds the corner and becomes funny. I think the professionalism, personality and skill of the waxer is far more important than their gender.
I think my husband would definetely have an issue. Honestly, I probably wouldn't feel too comfortable with a male, non medical professional down in that region.
@britbeautyblog I'm sure I would out of politeness. But would be mortified throughout.

I wouldn't want to have a Brazilian in the first place, lol. But why not a man? You go to a male gyneacologist, GP, breast surgeon, etc. if you need to, so why not a male waxer?
Even though the thought mortifies me, I think i'd rather a man do it! I mean with a woman I get self concious that they're sneering and giving me evils! But if its a man I think he'd be less judgemental? x
Really wouldn't have a problem with it - even though I love my beautician, she's fab, other ladies I've had can be a bit too gentle. In my experience you need a firm hand. Can't be more embarrasing than having a smear test done by a fella? Mind you, I'd be happier if I knew he'd at least had something of his own waxed at some point!
Don't think I'd be comfortable having a man doing it. Can't quite pinpoint why but I think for me it would make an already embarrassing situation even more so.
The thought scares me but at the end of the day he's probably seen it all before and in all honesty he must be good at it otherwise a salon wouldn't have him doing the waxing surely? I find it embarrassing when a woman does it so it can't be any worse with a man? Hey at least he'd have some sympathy with you regarding the pain
No I wouldn't let a straight man do it. I don't even know why and feel quite uncomfortable that that isn't the PC answer! I don't have issues with male midwives, nurses or GP's so I'm not sure why this is different for me. Particularly since although it involves an intimate area, it's hardly erotic!
To be honest, and I know this shouldn't come into it, but if he was gay I wouldn't mind. If he waxes women for a living then he's probably seen it all. After all lots of women have male gynos? x
I think I'd prefer a male waxer, but I'm not actually sure why. Women are more judgemental, whereas a man would think 'oh yes that's a vayjayjay'... I don't know. I'd definitely be ok with it though!
I think it would be a no from me and i'm unsure why. Haha I think its because when going to get a wax done you leave all dignity at the door. Its the most awkward thing to try and create a convesatrion while theyve got their hands all over you nether regens let alone if its a man! xx :o)
I don't think I'd feel comfortable with a man doing my waxing. Even if he was just waxing my legs. It's just more comforting if a woman does it because she surely she understands the female perspective?
It's got nothing to do with sexuality in my opinion. I don't really think someone who's doing it for inappropriate reasons would ever be very successful!!
Would the same questions be asked if you had a male gynaecologist? It really shouldn't matter, they are trained professionals. Gay or straight, I'm sure they see enough of them everyday to not be bothered in the slightest :)
Gemder isn't an issue with me. I've had male and female gynecologists, GPs, masseurs, hairdressers and estheticians over the years. My judgement goes by how happy I am with the service they provide. However I totally understand if some women are not comfortable with this scenario.
I don't quite understand the comments about women sneering or judging. If your not comfortable with the person providing the service, then you need to find someone with whom you are comfortable, regardless of gender.
I've had Brazilians done, and personally I feel more comfortable with a woman because she understands the female anatomy in a way that a man just can't. I feel the same about my OB-GYN. I'm sure there are men who do a fabulous job, but it's really about me ... I just feel better with women.
Sorry to the men, but no. No, no, no. It's not something to be shared with men and I'm sure men have grooming rituals they would not want to share with women. I don't think this has anything to do with equality, some feminine things should just stay feminine.
I think most people's reluctance and feelings of discomfort they can't pinpoint is probably because waxing is such a feminine part of grooming, that it's strange and foreign to let a man be a part of that, whereas this doesn't seem to be quite the case for medical professionals you know?
Like someone else pointed out, I'm not sure about about the comments of females judging, really what are they judging in this scenario? That would simply make them unprofessional so go to a better place. It's not like men are incapable of judging you know.

Id prefer a male waxer but I'm clearly a sexual deviant.
