Well that gave me a bit of a giggle! I've always steered away from these types of treatments as I find some places to be so pretentious and I can't relax in the slightest. This looks amazing though, shame I'm in Australia really!

Brilliant Jane, so funny but useful. Now... are you suffering from 'Blogger's Back'?

Just as a therapeutic comment, actually as much as it seems a wee bit weird having your bum massaged, you need to remember that your glutes are the biggest muscle in your body and can carry an extraordinary amount of tension. This tension can pull your lower back out of alignment causinf pain all over your back which should exist in a carefully balanced equilibrium. So it's well worth putting your concerns aside and having some work done as it can make a really big difference. For me it's a sign of a really good therapist, someone who understands that it's a major source of back problems and is therefore ready to address it rather than shying away from it.

Know any good massage places in London specifically for back, neck and shoulders? Definitely know I can do with one!

Hi Diana.. I'm so sorry. I hardly ever go for a massage so I'm the worst person to recommend. xx

This sounds great actually! Although I'm not sure it would be suitable for men.
Out of all the massages I've had (which is a monthly occurrence at the moment) I've never once dribbled through the whole lol.
I do like the line "I'm well past the stage of removing my underwear just on anyone's say-so" lol. So I'm guessing there was a stage then? ;) x

Diana, try Paola bassanese who is based at the Albany club near great portland street. She's amazing. She's on twitter as @paolaenergya and she's really lovely and very helpful.

I think this sort of treatment is considered a normal part of self-care for French women. I was taught full body massage, including buttocks and breasts, but you can't sell it in this country. LOL! I suppose we're too uptight.

And Weleda! I love their pomegranate body oil. The best I've ever used, so that spa would be heavenly.
