No! I will be ordering some of that then! :( xHate it when this happens. ITs such a chore to find something that works and having to find something newnot because the product doesnt work, but because the company stops making it!! x
This is CRIME. Someone call Beauty Police please. Isn't it illegal to discontinue much-loved products? Why do they have to do this???! To laugh at our sad faces???
Wow, I guess I am the only person that hated it and thought it felt cheap and didn't do anything and I love essential oils. Something about this felt (and smelled) like day old tepid viscous water.....The only essential oil mix/ blend I absolutely HATED.
It's a huge shame when a once independent company no longer has control over its formulations. This formula has been changed to reduce cost and the increased price tag does not reflect more expensive contents. It's a business decision versus a beauty one, which is completely understandable but none the less, a shame.. The primary ingredient of vanilla planifolia, which is natural and costly, has been removed and the cheaper smaller percentage of synthetically manufactured Vanillin added later in the formula. The benefit to the manufacturer is that they they will not be held ransom to the fluctuating costs of real vanilla whose harvests are affected by war, weather etc. Expensive fruit seed oils such as rubus idaeus (raspberry) seed oil have been replaced with cheaper oils such as Zea Mays (Corn) Oil and Helianthus Annulus (Sunflower) Seed Oil. And extracts are very cheap to add to a formula as in reality they represent minuscule amounts, as small as 0.01% of a formula but create the look of an enriched, expensive product. So, it all makes sense from a business perspective but it's still a shame for us as beauty lovers.
KKL - thanks for this informative comment. I used to really adore Nude products - the facial cleansing wash and oil, along with ACR serum and moisturiser. I really did rate them and think they improved my skin, naturally. I worried about the LVMH takeover but tried to believe the products wouldn't change. I've received samples of some of the new range and actively dislike the fragrance. I really wish small companies were able to remain true to their principles and not mess about with formulations, but, I guess, business decisions take priority over consumer satisfaction. It's a huge shame. I'm now on the hunt for a similar brand and am thinking about trying Trilogy's products. *sigh*.
I just popped into Space.NK and they informed me that they won't be getting the remormulated Nude products for a little while yet. Don't know whether this is just my store? I grabbed 4 cleansing oils and 2 night repairs so I now have time to find a replacement. I always loved their transparent ingredient list!
I noticed this when Nude sent me out a sample of the new oil (and unfortunately I really disliked it, particularly the smell!) I went on their website and to my horror, two of my all time favourite products (honestly!): replenishing night oil AND the advanced cellular renewal serum GONE! Replaced by what looks like cheaper alternatives. Replenishing night oil was 15mls for approx £44 , while the new oil is 30ml for £58. So it's actually cheaper, and unfortunately you can really tell. :-(
