Hey, interesting find, but what's different about this cream in comparison to the Rodial 'Skin Bleach' you seemed to have quite an opinion on a couple of days ago??
Although I love your blog I do think that you are really contradictory as you were BASHING Rodial skin bleach a couple of days ago! The skin bleach seems like it would be directed to the Asian market too so what makes this so different? You clearly have a problem with Rodial which is a shame as I like to read unbiased reviews on blogs
You are correct but this was posted in context of BB creams which people are really looking for right now. I absolutely don't think it is okay for any brand to encourage women to lighten their skin - and in fact, said that in the Rodial post. This was kind of more for information only and the subtext that the US and the UK markets won't touch it was there in the Lauder post.
The crux of the issue is that most Asian whitening products such as whitening BB creams are more about preventing sun spots and improving the overall clarity (or brightness, as they like to say) of the skin.
Asian whitening products are not the same as bleaching products. They are meant to be used in conjunction with high level UVA protection to prevent dark spots etc which is a key concern for Asian skintypes.
