It's actually originated from South Korea which I believe so...and Konjac originally is meant to be eaten. It has been made into dessert and food for many years in Japan. Thought there are many cases of choking amongst kids in the States due to the texture. Btw, it is an awesome cholesterol and intestine regulator because of the very high fibrous content :)
If I get it right, Konjac is also a food-grade material, with textures that's harder than jelly, used as a vegetarian version of gelatine. I love eating them but never tried using them on my face. :)

Ooh I've wanted to try one of these for ages, I think you've convinced me!
Ooh more new things to try! How interesting! Trust the japanese to come up with fabulous ideas like this! Thanks Jane x
Mmm I love things like this, and its not too expensive either. Might have to give it a go. Nice post xx
This sounds really interesting. I usually use a flannel after cleansing so this could be an interesting alternative.
Really like the look of this! Will be popping it onto the wishlist...
This sounds fab! I'll check it out thank you.
