I haven't tried the range but certainly want to- until I started researching organic fragrance I had no idea how hard it really is to achieve anything approaching natural when making mass products so good for them for trying- and being British!

As for the packaging, well if the products a wonder i don't care how it looks these days- i used to but now not so much except for perhaps lipstick/ gloss because I get it out while I'm out. I imagine they wanted to keep to the packaging people know but I do get where you are coming from. Navy can be very chic- I quite like it, it's certainly much nicer than lots of the mainstream stuff but it's not quite chanel either.

My greatest fear has been realised. When you tweeted a little while back about attending this launch, I agreed with your fear that the range would be on the dull side.

I fell in love with Neal's Yard products back when I was a little girl and my mother used to take me into the Bromley branch. Those blue bottles are just so enticing and beautiful. So much so that I now collect them and use them as vases etc on my window sill. I love their packaging BUT for make up no! Too dull and as for the colours, it seems that way so. I mix and match my make up products from Mac to Chanel but I just can't quite imagine my range including Barley Neals Yard eye shadow.

Such a shame but completely understandable. Their beauty products are clean, good natured, safe products so I guess in order to stick wiht the brand image they chose not to strive past that.
