I have a pair of these on the way to test out and very much looking forward to it. Have been a bit of a die-hard GHD user since a horrid run-in with some cheapy straightners at university. Interested to see what sort of job these do and from this review- sounds pretty impressive!

me too I am so excited!!! I am a die hard GHD user too but think the quality has gone down since the first version came out in 2003. xx

Still sounds too expensive for what it is. My Australian friends raved about Diva straighteners, apparently they're made in the same factory as GHD.

These look wonderful. Are they available in the states at all?

I love my Cloud9s so much it's not even funny. Thought nothing could come between my and my GHD's but ... wooooheeee.

I recently went to a salon to get my hair cut and the hairdresser used a pair of straighteners on my hair when finishing. Without a doubt I noticed they were smoother and quicker (than my pair) when straightening. I realised that they were not GHD's in her hand. They had GHD's advertised everywhere so I was confused as to why she was using these on my hair. Once I asked what they were she replied with "they are called 'Cloud Nines'. They are made by the same guy that designed GHD's and you can control the temperature. I much prefer them and when you tell people they stick to what they know best and continue using GHD's" Since then I have been looking in every salon wether it be high profile or not to see if they use these. They were the best straighteners I have used on my hair and to be honest I'm getting up earlier than usual to buy them tomorrow before I start work.
