If you have a Duwop sharpener try that one, the company that made that sharpener used to work in conjunction with the leading plastic clenched cosmetic pencil manufacturer and this was a regular complaint (at least from me). I used to work in cosmetic development - not just a sharpener geek...

hmm wonder why they made the US version with plastic packaging...weird! I'm sure the wooden ones will appear in the US if they're a success in the UK
