Essence has already released sth like that ;) It's a real pain to use the "magnetic" device, but it looks pretty cool once finished ;) You can check it out here:
Lancome did these a few years ago too. I don't like the picture above as it makes the nails look deformed but I do like the idea of creating stars and lines!
The first I'd heard of Magnetic polishes was a few weeks ago, when Nails Inc. showed some pictures on their facebook page, it looks kind of interesting but reading this article I'm kind of not interested now.
I think its like the crackle/shatter/special effects it'll be popular for a little while and then once all the nail companies replicate we'll be bombarded with magnetic nail and it's good for the people who want variety but I think again like crackle/shatter/special effects it gets overwhelming and boring (for me) so I won't be buying any magnetics.
I'd much rather a new collection of duo chromes. metallics, satin, gloss or even a new matt, or glitter collection.
Just because these magnetics and crackles/shatters etc are out there doesn't mean they need to hike up the prices. Some of the prices for these are ridiculously expensive and I had one pink crackle/shatter from a well-known company and it did absolutely nothing I hated it so much I got rid of it in a nail swapping group after only trying to use it twice.
I am really intrigued. I just know there are going to be some amazing looks that will be designed with this. Whether or not I can replicate them is another thing but it'll be fun to see what the experts do.
Hmm will be interested to see how these look in real life, in the image above they remind of my friends nails which are all hugely ridged after she slammed them in a barn door - not a look I would ever want to replicate! The lancome star effect created with a magnet was pretty though so not dismissing it til I see!

This looks so interesting!! The shape of those nails in the picture is kinda scary though!
...Magnetic? As in, metals will be attracted to it? In a nail polish? O.o

I don't know if I like it- it just reminds me of when my nails go wrong!
If these are the ones I saw on someones hand recently.....then the looked gorgeous in real life. Much better than that picture would suggest.
