Well that explains where all the hits are coming from today! Thank you :)

Kenneth gives awesome tips, as always. I love red liner - it's definitely something you have to be in the mood for, but it's fun to do something a bit unexpected sometimes.

red liner for the poor: you can use red face paint (any brand) and for lasting power, mix it with Ben Nye Liquiset instead of water :) x

I found a simple way to get the red liner look: I use Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Resolute, a metallic Ruby colour. It really looks better than just bright red.

The Oxford university cheerleading team have been known to take this a bit further and do red eyeshadow as well! It looks quite exciting when they're performing!

True story, as a teen goth I got sent to the headteacher for wearing red eyeliner. And I continue my red love with Inglot's red gel liner. It is amazing, and waterproof.

Would like to see how it works on the eye's, am imagining vampire eyes but sure it will look far more fashion focused. Maybe need Kenneth to demonstrate!

I thought that part of the reason red eyeliners are rare is because some red pigments aren't eye safe? Might be something to look into before applying lip or face products to the eye area - a reaction would leave your eyes looking more red than intended!

If it helps, my understanding is that the hierarchy is eyes > lips > face... in other words, if it's safe to use on your eyes, it's safe for lips and face, but if it's only approved for the face, you can't use it on lips or eyes.
