wow, now that's dedication! I guess this requires an oil based makeup remover to remove?

Six paltry shades? White people come in more shades than that, let alone black/east/south asian/mixed race skin tones. Screw you Rimmel.

You were extremely dedicated to leave foundation on your face for 25 hours, I'd have cracked after like ten O_o

:-O

This shocks me! I'd never wear my makeup for that long!!

You're right, you'd have to be a real part girl to need that amount of mileage out of your foundation hehe.

Nice dedication to the review. I like it. *thumbs up*

Terribly naughty of Rimmel to not cater for Asian or Black skin tones! Tch tch!

Not sure I'd want to keep foundation on for more than 12 hours, let alone 25, so I'm..... not bovvered??

Sour grapes? No.. but when will mass market cosmetics companies take on board that mass market by its very nature means that there is a much wider spectrum than 6 shades could ever cater for.

Love that you had an excuse not to take your make up off last night...i on the other hand was just being too lazy to do so!!

I'd be interested to know if this foundation clogs pores easily - how can something stay on do long and let your skin breathe? Might give it a try seeing as it's not too expensive - but i'm kinda nervous!!

Very interesting, am tempted but disgusted with the shade choice, for whilst it is disgraceful that there is no choice for black or asian skin tones for me, I find that high street shades are peach, peachier and peachiest, and being pretty pale that counts me out too.
Thanks for this Jan x

Why don't companies concentrate on making a foundation that looks freshly applied for 8-12 hours which is what most people would like want?

Jane you are a legend, I too have been trialling this product in Oz and I am loving it, although I wasn't as dedicated as you in leaving it on overnight I really don't think I could, I did wear it to on a flight to Melbourne and back in one day (I'm in Sydney)in the heat of summer here, so wore it for a good 14 hours and was surprised how well it stayed on and how nice it feels on.

Not impressed with the lack of colours or even entertaining the idea of wearing a foundation for such long hours.

Big cheer for you trying it out for 27 hours. I would have cracked after 12.

Great read. Thanks.

Oooo dear... it feels like 1998 all over again, when my mum couldn't find a Rimmel foundation to match my skin colour so I ended up with something that made me look a bit like a ghost...!

I often put of wearing foundation as It always looks so obvious that I'm wearing it. I can't seem to find one that matches my very pinky/pale skin. Any tips or advice on how I can find one to better match my skin tone?

I'd like to give this a try! I'm not crazy for foundation. I usually just put it on a few places on my face. Sometimes I use it as concealer! It sounds like this would work well for that, since I don't like full coverage all over my face. Thanks!

LOOOVE this post, people really do need to take companies to task on their claims (without being all 'Weekend Watchdog' pedantic about it, hehe!). My only comparable experience is significantly ickier- I've worn MAC Liquidlast eyeliner for whole weekends away at the Summer music festivals. And despite the mud, the sweat, the (limited hours of) sleep, it lasts!

I have recently bought this foundation and can honestly say whilst working in a nursery and running around after children it is a great foundation. On the downside of things i am a bit disapointed that they do no do lighter shades. My skin tone is very pale and even the most lighest one was too dark. Rimmel should definatley think about doing a wilder color range to suit most skin tones!
