Ah, brings me back, I still have a Mary Quant purple eye shadow duo that I picked up from Portobello market when I was about 11! I loved that thing!

the whole no press thing is EXTREMELY baffling! why would they not want sales?

Wow, their website is really awful! They don't seem to want our business do they?

Their nail polishes are sooooo dull. They are on ebay.

I presume someone bought the Quant trading name. I don't think she has anything to do with it. Good in a way because the original Quant was amazing.

The nail polish came in round bottles. I had a wonderful yellow. We're talking late 60s here. And the lippie was so creamy. 'Grape Crush' was my favourite. Memories....

Will be making a trip to the store asap I was flicking through some old Vogue mags and there was a gorgeous lipstick by the brand. I tried to look online but website is awful so glad there is a store!

Perhaps their unwillingness to do any press might be why I've never heard of Mary Quant Cosmetics until reading this post... weird.

Back in the 1960s I got taken to Way In in Harrods(the ultimate in "groovy happening boutiques", walls painted BLACK!) by a very cool uncle, and he bought me a Mary Quant Paintbox. It was so amazing - this was before Biba - there wasn't anything else to rival it's trendiness and was the envy of all my little country mouse friends!

I always find the make-up in the Kings rd store to be just a bit sloppy in presentation. It's like they just bung them in there and expect everyone to take turns in viewing the display cupboard...

I bought some eyeshadows in a cute black palette a while back which I like. The store isn't exactly swatch- friendly as everything is displayed like expensive jewellery in glass cabinets.

such a shame they aren't consumer and press friendly I have a few eye shadows I got from ebay and they are beautiful with the little daisies embossed in really nice quality too
