I have a small bottle of this, in the shade no 2. It's the perfect shade for my skin in summer (I've got typical celtic colouring of pale skin, freckles and rosy cheeks).

I really like it for evening as I feel it gives great coverage and evens things out without being too heavy. It's a very runny, liquid formulation which smooths on to a semi-matte finish. I also think it looks great in photographs.

I would like to get the lighter shade for my winter skin tone. One of the things Face Atelier does is create a lightener and darkener, which you can add to its foundations to get a perfect match, or even mix together to create your shade. I think this is a great idea and wish more lines would adopt this.

Face Atelier has a big underground following in America, very much more amongst professionals and beauty junkies than the woman on the street though, they have no advertising budget, all word of mouth stuff.

We discovered it through a make up expert on the Cult Beauty panel called Katheen Beaton who is based in LA. Most of her work is on Films and said she likes it for its durability and flawlessness for close up work. If it's good enough for George Cluny...
