Have you got any information whether there are any long term side effects from using one of these. I'm tempted as I seem to spend too much of my spare time plucking my chin and upper lip but I'd prefer a few hairs to long term damage.
Ok GreatShe, it is a solvable problem.. according to Colin @beautyscientist it should be possible increase the resolution to pick up the darker bits and/or increase the number of pulses. I am trying to find out if there are any trials going on and if so will let you know.
I've been in Boots recently and there are loads of these types of devices (IPL) I'm interested in these, as I'm a beauty therapist..not yet trained in them, as this is the next course I'm about to do. I wonder if these are as strong as salon machines? And if they deal with other skin issues that salon IPL does? I do also think these are a better way for anyone want to have hair removal, because overtime it will save you loads of money.. Once your hair is gone you can always sell the machine..
Hi, I was wondering if you have had any update on this release? I was hoping to buy one today (I was just about to buy the Lumea Precision but I think it's worth holding out for the new features). I can't see it anywhere for sale online today. Do you know if it was actually going to be released for sale now, or just announced? The Philips press release in German says its for sale from September... Thanks for any info. Love your blog, so much good info and also the other readers comments are so helpful!
HI Anon.. well, unbelievably, the entire consignment was stolen and those units that were left are now part of a *crime scene* and can't be released.. it's true. Really shocking.. but true. So now not at all sure when it will go on-line. x

Do you have any idea when if ever a device like this that works on red and blonde hair will be available?

Ah but at boots it's reduced down to 399 (until 7th august). So where would we be able to get it for 350? Thanks
I don't think it's just the bum, I think it's the more intimate areas of your bikini bottoms!
Although I'd have to say I'd feel a bit silly standing in the bathroom and waving a gun like that around to give myself a full "wax"!
