Salons dont even do patch tests despite manufactuers warning.Every hair color line has a warning to do a patch test at least 24 to 48 hours before every application but it is seldomly followed. They say you can develop sudden allergic reactions so even if you've colored your hair before your supposed to do a patch test.I have done literally thousands of heads of hair color and I have never performed a patch test and never had a severe reaction happen on anyone.Thats not an excuse, I am just stating the rarity of these reactions but they do happen! If you feel any burning or feel overly itchy wash the color out immediately! Also dont color your hair when you have open sores etc.

(dont mean to offen anyone) but how can anyone be stupid enough to not do a patch test. maybe its because im a total baby but i really dont want to end up with my eyes popping out of my head because i wanted to dye my hair a shame darker, it just means you have to wait an extra 2 days, which is better then a few days in hosipital attached to a drip right?

I''m actually guilty of this, I'm ashamed to admit - I kind of just assume that I'll never react to anything that's sold over the counter... smack on the wrist for me then! x
