I didn't get a box but I have my fingers crossed that I get one of these! And such a great price too! I would love the £150 voucher but I think I'd be perfectly happy with whatever products were in the bag as well!

Just wanted to leave some feedback on my lucky bag, which arrived yesterday.

I don't know if they're all the same but mine contained:

a 16g box of mints;
a sample size Eve Lom rescue mask;
a sample size mud face mask by Beauty Junky, which looks extremely cheap and toxic;
a nail art correction pen by NPW (looks extremely cheap and horrid);
8 temporary eye appliqués tattoos;
a 50ml tube of St Tropez fake tan in Medium/Dark; and
a teeny sized Nail Art nail polish in the same shade that was attached to a magazine not too long ago (but that was full size).

I'm a 40 year old ex-lawyer now full time mum, who loves interesting beauty products and loves to try new things. I spend between £50-£150 a month on beauty products.

The original beauty box was gorgeous - full of interesting, wonderful things.

This looks like a left overs sale of things that just couldn't sell. I'm really annoyed! Mints?! Dark tan in the middle of winter?

I understand that not everything in a bag will suit everyone, but as in the last beauty box, the things that didn't suit me (Stila Colour Correct and the hair stuff) made the most lovely gifts for friends and I didn't mind that they weren't quite right for me.

I have just wrapped up the entire bag's contents as a present for a young teenager (the only person who won't be offended by the gaudiness of the products) and the entire bag fits in a parcel no bigger than an A5 envelope. The HUGE bag it came in plus the cardboard outer box is such a waste of the earth's resources.

I'm also really embarrassed as I sent an email out to 24 of my girl friends, quite a few of whom bought more than one bag as Christmas presents for other friends.

A teeny box of bog standard mints in a cutting edge beauty bag?!? Really?!?

I feel like I have been tricked into spending £20 (£5 delivery) on junk because I trusted Selfridges to fill the bag with cutting edge, relevant products based on the good will built up with the beauty box.

Why abuse this trust with the very customers you have reached and who are willing to spend on beauty? You have lost this regular beauty customer and after having spoken to my friends, at least 10 other women.

Sadly, I can't return this bag because I opened the mints; I just couldn't believe that this teeny box of mints didn't have some sort of beauty element to it - teeth whitening or something!

I can't even give the mints away - it looks toooo mean.

Aaah Catherine, I so agree with you!! I got the original box which was several shades of awesome, but in this one here is what I got:
- the sample sized beauty junkie mud face mask (indeed suitable for my 15 year old sister at most, and when I look at the ingredients list there is nothing I would want on my face)
- 30 mL James Reed wash off tan lotion for body (mmm ok)
- 50 mL Ren Rose Otto body wash (ok yes that's really nice)
- 1 miniature Nails Inc varnish (the same shade that was given, full size, with a magazine a couple of months ago, surely the same as the poster above)
- small box of nail polish remover pads by npw (indeed this too looks cheap and horrid)

So, yes, terribly terribly disappointed, especially after the standards of the original box, I think this one is hardly worth £15, and that doesn't cover the £5 postage. Not happy, so I'm never going to Selfridges beauty hall. Instead I shall head the the M&S beauty hall and give them some of my custom. Selfridges, you have FAILED to impress me or any other beauty addict as I can read everywhere on the internet...

I haven't even received mine-I ordered as soon as I got the email saying they were launched online-paid GBP9 for next day delivery (so it should have arrived on Thursday) and it hasn't even been dispatched yet (now Friday). I tweeted to Selfridges this morning, they told me to email them, so I did and they haven't even replied to that.

And by the sounds of it it may not even be worth the wait.

Agree, very disappointing, especially comparing to Liberty bag, free with £150 purchase. I wouldn`t expect this cheap stuff (teo nail varfnish removers, mints, mud mask!!) even from Boots, not Selfridges.

I must say I was happy with mine. It wasn't very grown up but I loved the contents. I'm 33 just for the record. There was a shower cap that looked like a pig (I loved it), some anatomically snog me senseless lip balm (full size), the nail art pen, the ren travel size body wash, the aromatherapy mask, and a mini nails inc polish.
For the price it was a nice surprise!
I don't know if I would have been happy with some of the other bags described above though as some of the contents sound horrible - maybe I was just lucky as I liked pretty much everything apart from the rubbish mask.

I received my Lucky Bag on Friday. It was pathetic, in comparison to the beauty box in August. I called Selfridges customer services to express my disappointment. They offered me a refund, also to keep the Lucky Bag. The customer services agent advised that they had a huge number of complaints.
