You should take a trip to India for some gorgeous hand chains. Known as haathphool, they originate from Rajasthan and are typically worn by brides (I wore one with five chains - one running to each finger!). Each of the chains represents the strength of a specific goddess who a bride can call on to protect her new family. Also, it's believed that they press against various nerves on the wrist and fingers to create energy and recharge mind, body and soul :)
