'that foam' is most likely the effect of 3% solution of hydrogenii peroxydum or H2O2, a mild disinfectant with dead cells removing properties. I do not know the ingredients of the product, but have know the disinfectant since I was a child. Used as directed it's quite safe and the 3 applications from a trial sample on very mature skin have left me very pleased with the results.
