I ordered this last year and it was the biggest disappointment. The shadows were so chalky and had very little pigment and the same goes with anything else in the palette. I ended up returning it asap and I don't recommend anyone waste the money on it.
When I look at these kinds of "Blockbuster sets", I always check where are they made before buying. I know the previous Sephora sets are made in China, even there regular eyeshadows are made elsewhere. This doesn't not applies only to Sephora sets, but some other brands have sets made there.
I guess at around $2.30 per item it would work out at $435 overall. That said, they obviously save a lot on packaging costs with a big palette rather than lots of individual pots. Stila claim their Travel palettes are worth $60 (they are priced at ($10) but given the smaller size, this can't really be true. Also most of the colours aren't available separately.
They really try anything to sell. I don't like the quality of Sephora's eyeshadows at all and I have tried several products. No, I would not buy this one.

I rarely ever trust any company's "a XXX value" statements, unless I can trace back each individual piece and see its retail value.
...and even then I'm suspicious.
