I've seen the advertising but couldn't believe it works. You say it does though. That really is astonishing.

I'm OK if I keep out of the sun so I think I'll just do that. Much better for the skin as well as the eyes.

I've been using this too, I really like it, but it's not nearly as moisturising for contact lens wearers as tradition style eye drops. I do carry a bottle of it everywhere though, it's very cooling and refreshing!

And expensive.

Hmm Interesting. Ive recently started wearing contacts and Im suffering with one dry eye really bad. The optician did give me some eye drop which does help, but she actually scared me when she said if it carries on I could end up with an ulcer or something :o. I might look into this and see if I could use it with my eye drops.

It certainly works for me in terms of refreshing etc: it's a nice product. But, if you wear contacts you'll need to check its okay to use with ..and Get_Lippies comment that it isn't as moisturising as other drops may mean it isn't a worthwhile investment for you.

I went through at least 3 bottles of this stuff in the winter... the dry air makes me wake up with my eyelids basically stuck to my dry eyes... god, it's horrible (and makes it even harder to want to get out of bed!).

I didn't like the idea of using the spray while wearing make-up though... I wasn't too convinced that my make-up wouldn't just run into my eyes and smear all over my contact lenses.

On the contact lens front, it's fine to use while wearing them.

How is your laser eye surgery holding up? I keep thinking about it but chickening out. Everyone I know who has had it done raves about it... and it would be nice to wake up and actually be able to see!

I love this stuff too. Its great for reviving my contacts :)

The high price is steep but the good thing about this product is that you don't have to throw it away after a few months use like the traditional dropper versions.

The Oprtex eye spray has a 2 year shelf life which makes the price a bit more bearable seeing as I never finish those droppers by the set time period :)

I've wondered about whether this causes all your make-up to run into your eyes as well. In my experience dry eyes happen most when you're out and about during the day/evening (and wearing make-up) -- plus I have trouble keeping my make-up in place when I most need it to -- so I can't see the attraction of something that might smear it all into my eyes (and onto my contact lenses)... A weird one, I guess you have to try it to know if it's for you!

ebay, from £5.25 plus £1.45 P&P. A far more sensible price than £14.99!!!!!
