I think they do forget about the connection all consumers have with their brand. I will always have a connection with Estee Lauder as they were the ones who gave me my first chance in the cosmetic industry. A lot of my fellow consultants said that I was very much embodied them, and to this day I still "love" the majority of the products they bring out.
Bloggers will always blog about their passions and more about who they are passionate about. These makes the best consultants as it is something you cannot teach.

Interesting post. And true too. I need to get better with twitter, by the way. But you are right, bloggers blog because they are passionate about something - haters leave us alone!

I don't like talking about this because I think my feelings can be so easily misconstrued as being too big for my boots or something but this is something I feel strongly about. I spend time and effort building relationships withe brands I love, if that relationship ends with no obvious reason or explanation, then of course it affects my feelings about the brand. x

Fab post. Not working in the industry I would be interested to know how many men are high up in brands? For me I have an emotional connection with Estee Lauder as my Mum took me to their counter when I became a teenager and got me on my road to good skincare routine. I always look at what is new in EL before any other brands and I always feel slightly 'betrayed' when they discontinue a product I have used and loved.

What a fabulous post! I can't agree with this more! There are definitely brands I've associated with most of my life and have therefore grown an emotional bond, and it really saddens me to see when other people don't like that brand, and to a point it's even embarrassing when they do bring out a product that isn't it's best work.
Love that you brought this to light! I'm very curious as to what sparked this though, but won't prod you about it :)

Hi Kat and Sweet.. I promise nothing personal happened to prompt this post! It's just a general observation that only the advent of blogging has brought to light. xx
