Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! I'm looking for an non cirurgical eye lift and I'm very happy to see that this worked well for you now and can be a possibility for me too! I love make up and just don't look good with my lids...this really upsets me! Now Im so excited again to treat my self! xoxo!!!

I would love to consider doing this as well, i'm in my early 50's and I love wearing eyeshadows, actually I wear it everyday even though I have hooded eyelids, I just feel naked without it.

It sounds great. I'd love to see some before & after photos.. perhaps in a couple of months once both are looking good?

I'm really pleased that you've managed to get both eyes looking great. You must really be looking forward to wearing eyeshadow again!

Although I'm only 26, this sounds like the perfect procedure for me in the future. I've always had as lot of loose skin in that area and it is definitely starting to make its way further over my lid.

Do you know how long the effects are expected to last? x

A very interesting read and I'm delighted that you are pleased with the results. But, and sorry if this sounds heavy, but why? Burning skin...? looking roughed up....? Burning skin?? What is the long term result. Skin shouldn't smell of burning. That is serious damage. What worries me is that the skin will contract slightly as it heals itself of the burn, and will look ok now but overtime will show signs of damage. By exercising the eye muscle we can keep our eyelids toned and open. And the skin will not smell burned and will not be damaged. Do I sound like a party pooper? I don't want to. But I do worry about these very damaging procedures that we are told are not invasive...

Hi Grace..well yes I get exactly what you are saying but think it has to be a judgement call by the individual. My eye lids now don't show any signs of damage but you know, I can't see into the future. My eyelids weren't toned and that kind of skin droop can't be prevented. So, the view I'm taking is that I will have the benefit now while I really want it and hope that in ten years time it will still be there. I think a lot of this is experimental and the concerns you raise are more than valid.. it was the right thing for me at the time though. CO2Re have got a website where if you read past the 'fluff' they do explain more. x

Any chance of a photo of before and after? Do you know what the difference is between the Pearl and the CO2RE lasers? I have searched and searched and it seems that there are two schools of thought on which is best. Some sites say it can take up to 3 courses of the CO2RE to work (ouch - no thanks), and one more very cheeky question ....how much was it?

Hi Anon.. so sorry but I don't do pics of me.. too shy! I obviously haven't tried Pearl, but was really genuinely happy with the CO2RE result. And it did only take one go for one eye and two for the other. My thought there is that he did not go to the same depth, but you can't really account for differing thicknesses of skin.. I always take a long view on these treatments.. they are never completely perfected so there is always a bit of a risk. But I would say that to my mind the result is pretty miraculous. This treatment was free to me as a beauty writer, but I believe it is in the region of £800. x
