Great post, sounds really interesting! I have the Avene gentle gel cleanser, currently loving it. May try more products as I suffer from eczema xx

I suffer from rosacea on my cheeks and had to use medicated creams to keep it under control. I have now stopped using these prescription creams and use the Avene anti-redness moisturizing cream, the cleanser (in a bar form) and the skin recovery cream. They all work brilliantly to minimize redness and calm irritation. I highly recommend them!

However much the water claims to work, i would really hesitate going there..aesthetically it just doesn't do it for me! Could they not combine practicality and funcionality together with eye pleasing decor?

Having said that, i am going to ask a friend to check it out for her skin ailments.

Hi

I have been to Avene twice. I have had eczema since the age of 5 and it comes and goes. Sometimes I can control it with steriod creams and moisturising but there have been occasions when that is not enough.

It's a bit strange explaining to people that the treatment is to be bathed, showered, pelleted, wrapped, and massaged with the water (dependant upon appointment with the doctor) but the treatment does work. The skin smoothes over and the irritations and itchiness goes away. There is a fountain at the entrance of the thermal station and you are provided with a bottle and told to drink the water as well. If someone had told me that I probably wouldn't have believed it - but one year I was desperate and my husband had read about the place - I decided to give it a go.

I am planning to go back next year. The area is very child friendly. A car is highy recommended as it is tucked away in a quiet corner.
